Hello, saw your blog, I will write what I was able to figure out. however, I did not find a stop or a start codon and I was not sure why there was U in what was suppose to be DNA as U is only found in RNA, from my understanding... "And from monster the bad tooth sit animals before was adapt to us into I and like" I know it makes zero sense but this is what I was able to decode and the triplets containing the U I just guesses as well as the start and end. This is not correct it actually reads "(ATG)start(TGG)The (ACC)monster (CGT)learned (TCG)about (GGG)natural selection (TTT)in (AAC)anthropology (AGA)class (TGC)after (CAA)dreaming TCG)about (AAG)fossils (TCA)and (AAT)animals (TAG)stop." I do see where i went wrong with the U's, whoops! Thank you for seeing that!
Elizabeth: ATG is not the DNA codon for "start". ATC is the correct DNA codon which transcribes to AUG. That is where the problem came in and why Maria couldn't find where to start (I couldn't either).
Here is my decode for reference, but without a start codon, it is just decoding right from the beginning:
